Asher dusted himself off as he finishe dressing. Asher's eyes stayed on the ground as he made his way through the small crowd in the common room. It was early Sunday morning and not many people were up. He loved seeing the grounds and castle silent and empty. It made him feel peaceful and serene. Asher saw a group of students by some benches.
His eyes scanned the many faces looking for a familiar one, but they were all upper classmen that he didn't quite know that well. Though Asher always hung out with the older kids, he always felt awkward. They all seemed so sure of themselves and who they were. They had countless drama and life experiences that he had no way of sympathizing or understanding for. And they always forgot he was there, just over looking him.
With his own age and the lower classmen he was like king. Almost everyone loved his bubbly and energetic personality. They all knew him and he knew them. Asher had many friends, but never a best friend or a true friend. Sometimes he wanted more. That was mostly the reason he liked talking with the older kids. He liked being serious sometimes and always funny and happy go lucky all the time. Most of all Asher wanted a someone special. He wanted someone he could smother with affection. He envied Nikki and Malakai and how they were just so natural together like they were one. He wanted someone to say I love you to and to just laugh and be himself with. But then again he didn't know who he was.
Asher shook his head and the scowl off his face that had been created from the intense thinking he was doing and made his way up the steps on the Owlery. He climbed it up to the main owl holding cubbies. Asher looked down to see the beautifully light up ground below him. He smiled to himself and rested his arms on the railing. His eyes surveyed the woods with his brow furrowed in concentration trying to keep the picture incase he wanted to use it for later.
