Background: A year before the Battle of Hogwarts, Fenrir Greyback was sent to try and “persuade” wealthy families to join the Dark Lord. One family, the Perdue’s, refused fearing the consequences. (Members of the household were usually sorted into Ravenclaw, though a few had been in other houses). In retaliation, Greyback seized the youngest and only daughter and used her as a sort of hostage. After having his way with her, and after many tears from the family, Thomas finally relented and agreed to join ranks with the Death Eaters for the safety of his daughter; but it was too late. Instead Greyback decided to claim Larissa as his own.

A few months later, after having suffered through a few months in the werewolf camp with Greyback and his other women possessions, Larissa discovered she was pregnant. Horrified, the nineteen year old attempted to run but was caught by Greyback who then discovered she was with child. Greyback sort of treated her like a broken toy afterwards and when he was killed during the battle, Larisa returned home with a year old baby. It wasn’t that she didn’t feel love for her child but Larissa was deeply affected by the events and while Vivien attended to her daughter, Thomas and Donovan helped greatly to raise Eleanora. They feared the baby would take after her father, but fortunately for all of them Eleanora was not infected by the werewolf curse.

Though she barely remembers any of her time in the werewolf camp (as she was a very young infant and she only spent one year there), Eleanora does recall faintly one memory. She was on her back and her surroundings were a grey blur; a man with what Eleanora would now call a rugged face with greying stubble peered down at her. She assumes that the man was her father. Larissa rarely speaks of her time within the camp; in fact she hardly speaks at all. It’s safe for the entire family to assume that once Eleanora had been born, she and her mother were a type of outcast since Eleanora did not inherit the werewolf gene. Larissa briefly confirmed this stating after the birth Greyback hardly looked at her.

Eleanora grew to be a very timid and quiet girl, partially influenced by her mother’s drawn back behavior. She has a difficult time speaking her opinions and often avoids large crowds. Her uncle and grandfather play a big role in her life, as her mother was traumatized by the incident with Greyback and though not mentally lost, will never quite be the same again. Her grandmother taught Eleanora how to play the piano, violin, and flute. The adults do not blame Eleanora for what happened, seeing as she was really an innocent child, but there is a sort of awkward tension that flows between the family members.
