Mariko wasn't sure if what she was about to say was a good idea or not. How could she trust this girl? What if her gut was wrong? She still thought that if there was a chance she must take it now.
"What I am about to say is only a smidgen of the truth until I know you are a trustworthy person. Personally by the way you protect yourself I am assuming you don't have wagging lips but I still must be careful." she started still a little abashed from the boldness of this meeting."I am the daughter of an infamous person who I care not to mention, but I have found out this information to late. My mother told me his name and disappeared the next morning. I believe it has something to do with him or those who know him. I also have a deep secret because of this and it has come to my attention that you may already know my secret, or at least assume it to some degree. Am I correct?"
Mariko was being vague but she had to at this point. If this girl was truly what Mariko thought, then she would understand all to quickly. Mariko was intuitive and could tell the girl at least had her suspicions. What they were she did not know, but what they could be were all to obvious.

Bryn would listen to her, eyes blazing. She was furious and frankly she didn't care to listen to the girl at all. The words struck home though, but years of practice kept Byrn face neutral showing nothing but ager to the girl before her. If her mind was working properly this annoying twit was her half sibling, but that was something she refused to admit to herself let alone out loud. Her voice remained cold as she spoke, seeming almost lifeless.
"I don't know what you happen to be talking about. There are a million infamous wizards, and you could be the child of any of them. Frankly I don't care who your father is, nor do i care about any secret you may hold. Everyone has secrets, and they say nothing about them to keep them that way. Think about it....now may I go?"
Of course Bryn knew that the girl was like her, and now she had totally confirmed it. But even if they were the same, Bryn was not about to share with her nor treat her as an equal. That wasn't going to happen.

Mariko new this was going no where. She was sad and annoyed. This is about it, she thought to herself in a sullen tone. She would now never know her family, she would never find her mother, and she would never understand who she actually was. This made her want to break down, cry, and fall to pieces. After this recent altercation she wasn't sure if she had the energy for any of those things. She wasn't really sure if she had the energy for anything. All she wanted to do was run in the woods and sleep under the stars.
She sighed a very heavy sigh and wished that she had been more ruthless or maybe a professional interrogator. This was one of those moments she was going to regret forever and would never be able to get back but she was all out of options and was not about to spout out something that could ruin her life to a stranger who she had a particular feeling about. After all she had a brain and even if this girl was her sibling, she obviously wanted nothing to do with Mariko.
With tears swelling up that glazed over her eyes, Mariko turned her back. She let her head hang and just muttered a few almost inaudible words.
"I'm ....y. This .... mist.........won. ......bye" was all the other girl was able to hear.
