"open" The raven and the moon

It was a nice evening and classes had been over for a few hours and dinner had been served and though Drysdyn usually loved to sit with her classmates after a nice meal in the common-room, tonight she didn't feel up to it as she wanted more than anything to stare at the lovely darkening sky that held so much beauty, the silvery moonlight that illuminated the night in such a a mysterious beauty. She ran a hand trough her reddish brown hair and walked up to her destination which was the astronomy tower.

She sighed softly and wondered what would happen this year as the years before she had`nt been part of much action except homework and studies so that she could meet the expectations her father set for her but it was always so hard to make him happy with her efforts as she wasn't a genius , no far from it but she enjoys reading and learning new things.She winced as she remembered her last visit home when her father almost snapped because she didn't get an outstanding on all her owls but she knew that if she had tried harder then maybe she would have but in a way she liked the pain as it reminded her that she was still alive and that pain could come from anyone.

She knew that it wasn't a healthy way to think but it kept her going in even her darkest moments and she knew that her brother would understand where she was coming from as he had been trough the same and now he was off traveling the world and seeing all the wonders it has to offer.She missed him a lot as some times she felt like he was the one person who understood her in the whole world , that truly knew what went on inside her mind at all times. She sighed softly as she walked closer to the window and sat down in front of it and tilted her head so she could see the rare beauty that always was the night-sky.She licked her natural full lips and wondered if she was the only one here but she didn't bother looking around as she couldn't hear anyone right now but it didn't mean that someone couldn't walk in on her but then again she didn't care if they did.

She sighed heavily and pushed some of her hair behind her ears so it wouldn't get in the way as she admired the night-sky that was offering her such a lovely view , it was the perfect moment for her to daydream about some wicked adventure or even an older man, she didn't have a lot of experience in this department except for a few kisses. She knew she didn't have enough time to be distracted and honestly she had always feared what her father would do if he found out that she was spending time on something other than studying.She smoothed down her black t-shirt and the jeans she wore at the moment and looked longingly at the sky. She would always envy its beauty , its peaceful light that didn't hurt or burn but merely glowed onto the surfaces. "i wonder why it is that the night is so much more beautiful than the day"she said to herself softly and smiled peacefully as her eyes were still aimed up to the sky.

The muscles beneath the flesh of his legs burned as Glen climbed the last of the stairs, his chest rising and falling in a steady motion though heavier than normal. Inhaling he paused at the top of the stairwell of the astronomy tower as the silvery moonlight bathed the figure of a young female student. He sighed figuring he would encounter someone; the moon had risen perfectly within the velvet sky and would naturally attract the women of Hogwarts. With a roll of his eyes he coughed politely into the back of his hand to alert her of his presence. “I believe it’s because the darkness of night masks the ugliness of this world.” He kept a comfortable distance from the girl, partially because he didn’t want to make her uneasy and also because he barely knew her. His hands were shoved deep into the pockets of his black, uniform pants while his Ravenclaw themed tie was tucked neatly underneath his grey sweater. A Ravenclaw badge sewed upon his chest gleamed within the dim light cast by the stars and moon.

He flicked a lock of dark hair from his eyes and allowed his gaze to settle on the girl. Based on her dreamy expression Glen noted that he had intruded on her personal thoughts. He felt no guilt but considered turning to leave, but the softness held within her features told him that it was alright and that she wouldn’t mind the company. He walked slowly over to the window a few feet away from her and gaze up toward the sky, searching keenly for a constellation. The galaxy was enormous and the stars numerous, it had always amazed him that anyone could discern a shape from its enormity. He lifted a hand from a pocket and scratched at the stubble on his chin, beginning to become consumed in his own thoughts. With a shake of his head Glen cast another look at the girl, her face was vaguely familiar. In the back of his mind something alerted him to the fact that she very well may be another Ravenclaw and that he might have spotted her in the common room. He shrugged, not fully convinced.

Speaking in a low murmur, Glen inquired, “If you don’t mind me asking are you a fellow Ravenclaw? There’s something familiar about your appearance and I couldn’t help but wonder.” It was odd not to recognize someone from his own house yet there were so many students at Hogwarts it was easy to lose track. Sometimes he wished the school was smaller so he could have an easier time at finding a space to be alone but, regardless of its population, there would always be someone popping up from out of nowhere. It was impossible to find true solitary time within Hogwarts. It was an unusual charm that the school possessed and Glen was not sure if it was a good or bad thing.

The room was nice and cool with fresh air rushing in trough the window that she had found open when she first came in here. With a soft sigh she looked up more at the sky and thought she heard footsteps but she didn't want to turn around and see who had entered, she figured the person would come out soon enough. She licked her lips again and wondered why life had to be so troublesome at times, she didn't want to even think of what her father would say if he knew she was up here , instead of being buried in a book. She sighed softly and turned her head as she heard a muffled soft cough and found herself looking at quite a handsome boy who was wearing a ravenclaw tie and the ravenclaw badge on his chest.”well the worlds can be beautiful yet some of the people in this world can be such ugly creatures “ she said softly and looked at him. She smiled a bit softly and licked her lips yet again as she looked back at the sky.

She smiled softly at the new boy that had joined her and she didn't exactly hate the idea of company so she hoped he would sit down and maybe the two could get to know each other better.”feel free to sit down and join me if you wish.” she spoke softly and with a gentle tone of voice as she looked at him.She noticed his beautiful face and those hauntingly blue eyes that seemed like two deep oceans that she could almost drown in them.She watched as he walked over to the window and looked up at the sky as she had been doing before he had entered the room. She smiled softly and looked out the window and gave a soft content sigh.”its beautiful isn't it , so amazing with all the patterns that forms “

His was soft and quiet as he spoke again and she looked up at him curiously and bit her bottom-lip and listened to his polite question.”Yes .. I don't mind your question and I am indeed in the ravenclaw house , I am sorry but I don't think I have talked to you very much “ she said softly and licked her lips again and sighed softly.” I guess this school just has too many students it seems to be able to know them all ..I'm Drysdyn by the way .. whats your name?”
