Bryn took the parchment holding it carefully as to not wrinkle it in any way. Eyes moved back and forth slowly, taking in the story. As she read Bryn was careful to keep her face free from any expression, she had a feeling it was driving Asher crazy to know her thoughts and she was going to make him wait. As the time ticked away Bryn got the feeling that Asher wasn't far from pouncing her for her thoughts. With nothing more than a small smile she would hand the parchment back to him.
"It's actually a nice story. Will she find the sword?"
Bryn smiled softly, she liked to read though she never really had much time for it. To much went on in her life for her to be able to read. It was one of her few escapes in the years that she lived with her aunt. Sure she was a nice lady, but she had always been afraid of Bryn, and Bryn had known this since she was just a little girl. Bryn would tilt her head slightly to the right wondering if Asher would tell her at all on how the story would end. [/blockquote]

Asher smiled and shook his head. One thing I cant stand is ruining endings! Besides, I don't know if she will or not yet. He shrugged and smiled pointing at Bryn You will just have to wait and see. I'll gladly give it to you when it's done. His eyes twinkled as new thoughts started popping up in his mind. Now that he had an audience he could picture her reactions and make twists. An audience, Asher discovered, was actually better because it made him think more and be a better writer.
He did appreciate the great care Bryn was using with his story. Normally people would grip the parchment and wrinkle it. Sometimes they even grabbed it while he's writing making the ink run and ruining the whole thing.
A sudden thought stopped Asher's racing mind and only that was on this mind at the moment. He furrowed his brow as he took his parchment and set it by his backpack. His eyes averted their gaze to Bryn looking her up and down. Asher asked what had been on his mind. Ho-how old are you Bryn? I don't believe you said what year you're in.

Her nose would crinkle with slight impatience, Bryn was used to getting what she wanted when she asked for it, but she decided that for once she wouldn't press the issue to much. With a slight pout upon her lips the girl would shrug her shoulders in mild defeat. At least she would be allowed to see it again, and hopefully the ending would be as good as the beginning.
Her little pouting session would come to an end as she heard his voice begin to waiver again. It was like certain questions made his confidence fly out the window while others made him into a cocky yet interesting specimen. She would smile at him, her eyes warm and inviting.
"I'm a fourth year, so I'm fourteen. You never mentioned your age either, would it be possible for me to ask the same of you?"
Bryn would then reach up, toying with her hair, twisting it around her index finger her eyes still on Asher waiting for his answer. [/blockquote]

Asher chuckled as he saw the pout on Bryn's lips. Of course she's used to getting her way he thought. His smile widened at thought that he would challenge that. It must be a scandal he thought sarcastically. She gave him a quizzical look which e didn't quite understand.
Asher listened intently as she said she was a fourth year. He nodded looking at her. She didn't look fourteen that's for sure. Her eyes pierced him as she asked how old he was. The way she looked at him and played with her hair drove him insane. Sometimes he hated being a guy.
Oh well I'm fourteen but I'm a fifth year. My birthday is a little late but they said I could start anyway. I turn fifteen in July. he explained all this in a nonchalant way. It seemed he had to do it alot with new people. The same old rehearsed story.

As Bryn listened to Asher's explanation she began to look around a bit. She quickly realized this classroom was larger than most of the others in the castle, and it was nearly full to the brim with clutter. As far as the little slytherin could tell she was standing in one of the only clear spots. Her eyes would brighten with mischief as she shrugged to herself knowing she wasn't dressed properly for the idea in her head.
"Would you like to explore with me?"
Bryn didn't really wait for a response. She was doing this with or without Asher, but if he wanted to tag along surely he would just follow right? Feel would carry her through a narrow path, that was larger enough for her lithe frame, but anyone to much larger would have a bit of a squeeze. By now if someone were to walk past the door Bryn had walked in earlier they wouldn't even see the girl.
Bryn turned, her back against a stack of boxes magicked to remain standing and stacked to the ceiling. A smaller box at her feet was marked books. Bryn crouched down, careful that her skirt remained as it should in a proper position. Her hands would slowly beginning to rifle through the box, becoming dirtier with ever one she touched. A quick glance was given toward the side to see if Asher had actually followed her or not. [/blockquote]

Asher watched as Bryn seemed to be zoning out and he followed her gaze to the piles of junk left behind. He followed in response to her question though found a problem: He couldnt' fit betweent he narrow space that Bryn so easily slipped through. Thinking quickly, Asher dropped down and crawled slowly through the maze of abandoned classroom material, careful not to touch anything so as it might all come crashing down if he did.
His hands and knees soon cared him to the place where Bryn stooped to look at a box of books. He crawled over and sat down somewhat stretching out his shoulders. What's that? he asked looking over her shoulder. She was holding a book that look as if it had been neglected for many many years. The title stated Advanced Potion Making and it had a smoking cauldron on the front.

Bryn smiled a little as she realized Asher had followed. Adventures were never fun when one had to go them alone. Adventure were meant for no less than two people and no more than six. Bryn had learned that the hard way once, but she shook the thought away. Now wasn't the time to dwell on that.
What's that?Bryn's smile grew wider and her voice was filled with laughter when she spoke.
"Well you see it's something called a book. You read it and you can learn something from it. This one in particular looks like it may hold a few secrets in it."
She made sure to smile at him, her eyes meeting his. Surely he knew that Bryn was only teasing. [/blockquote]

Asher could see a small smile playing on Bryn's lips as she tried to discreetly see if he had followed. The book she held was interesting. It looked very used and tattered like it was worn out by constant use and studying.
As Bryn teased him, he rolled his eyes but grinned look at her. I'm not a total idiot he said chuckling a little and softly pushing her shoulder. Asher looked back at the book and grabbed it. Let's see what secrets we can find in this old thing hm? He began flipping through the pages of the old potions book.

Bryn would wrinkle her nose at the dust as she bumped Asher back with her shoulder giggling softly. She would lean to look over his shoulder as he slipped through the old pages of the book. More dust was thrown into the air and Bryn was able to see it spinning wildly in the air before them.
Her eyes would fall on to a page for the polyjuice potion. She would smile and point to it, so Asher wouldn't lose the page.
"That potion would surely cause a lot of trouble. The ingridents alone would be difficult to find let alone obtain.....I wonder what else this thing holds...."
She would lean closer to Asher her hair falling like a curtain between them as she looked at the crinkled pages. [/blockquote]

Asher smiled as Bryn's giggle, glad he could make her smile. He grinned as she looked distastefully at the dust. Little dust never killed anyone. he remarked looking at her sideways and smiling his crooked grin.
Then, Asher was hyperaware of how close Bryn was to him as he flipped through the old book. Her hand stopped him as he turned the page to Polyjuice Potion and as she spoke he listened, nodding somewhat in agreement. Looks like it's take weeks or maybe even months to make.
Asher caught his breath as Bryn leaned even closer, her hair falling between their faces. This he was greatful for because his face started to turn a rosy pink color. He'd never been so smooth with girls. Sometimes he'd be suave or slick, but most of the time he was quite clumbsy with his words and actions. They just made him all fussy and nervous. He was always afraid he'd say the wrong thing or look like an idiot, which he most of the time did.

Bryn laughed at his comment. Of course she knew the dust wouldn't hurt her. She couldn't stand the smell of it. Such a strong scent to her sensitive nose, not that she could explain that to Asher of course. She would reach forward her slender hand brushing lightly against Ashers and she placed her fingers gently on the page to turn it. She was curious now and wanted to know if there was anything in here that would be of use.
Her other hand would reach up and push her hair back, and her eyes caught a bit of Asher's blush. She would quirk a brow out of question but say nothing. Maybe he didn't wish to share.
What potion to you hope we find in here?

Asher gave a small smile at her laugh. He loved making people smile or laugh. It just always made him feel liked. Bryn reached to turn the page and her hand slightly brushed his, making him put it to where it was under the book as he held it. Asher's blush that had just been fading flared up just a bit again.
'Damn' he thought as she pushed the curtain of her hair behind her ear. His mind might've been playing tricks on him, but Asher thought he saw her cock an eyebrow at him, or his blush. He decided to focus his attention on the book. Bryn turned the page delicately and he saw a potion to make Liquid Luck.
Her question puzzled him. He furrowed his brow and his lips puckered just a bit as he thought deeply on the question. Asher wished for alot of things and they probably were all in this book. His top wish though was to be braver, especially with girls. He was fine with them until he started to like them or they him.
He wasn't sure what he should say to Bryn so he decided to stick with the truth. Well, honestly, I'd love to find a bravery potion if they have it. I'm completely hopeless with girls...as you've probably seen. he said this looking at the floor the entire time and his voice had some shame in it. Against his better judgment Asher looked up at Bryn once he finished talking.

Bryn listened wondering absently what it would be like if she were braver. Maybe she would tell the truth of her bloodline, but then again maybe it would warp her completely. As much as she loved her father she couldn't be completely true to him. He had been wrong to be so cruel, she may be of his line but she would never turn a small child like her father had done to so many others. It was true that an army had been needed but the taking of children was wrong to Bryn no matter what they were needed for.
Bryn would til her head towards the side, her hazel eyes focused on the boy before her. His voice seemed filled with shyness and shame. For a reason she couldn't quite explain her heart went out to him.
"You seem brave to me, why do you think otherwise?"
Her voice was soft and patient, she didn't want to push him but she was curious for his answer.

As Asher risked a look at Bryn he saw her contemplate what he said.Maybe she had bravery problems too. Maybe it's what she's hiding that she want to be more brave about. he thought to himself as he waited for her reaction. It surprised him when she really did react. There was no teasing, no name calling, no making him feel ashamed, just a question...
Well you see, I'm awful at defending myself. I can never seem to be quick enough or witty enough to stand up to those that pick on me for...well just about everything. he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. He didn't know why but he knew he could somehow trust Bryn. He suddenly got frustrated with himself for being so weak. Asher furrowed his brow and clenched his jaw as he talked I always need someone to protect me. To come to my rescue and I'm sick if it. I want to be able to be my own man, to say that I can protect myself and the ones I love. It's just been so hard since... he trailed off looking away from Bryn.
Asher tightened his hands into fists. It just made him so aggrevated that he could defend himself without fear of hurting someone. The image of his best friend's face flashed in his mind. He pushed it away. Asher didn't even know why he was telling this girl all this. He'd just met her and barely knew her. Hell he didn't even know her last name.

Bryn listened, her face sympathetic but not to much that it looked as if she pitied him. She had gone through this years ago. She felt weak at her father's side, and had cried many nights about it. But she had grown and lived up to her name, though she was unable to truly prove that to anyone. Her true nature had to be hidden and again that was something that she had problems with as well.
Her voice was soft, but cautious. She didn't want to anger Asher, but she was worried that it would happen either way.
"I don't want to be cruel but you don't need a potion for that. You need only to look into yourself and change what makes you fearful. I know that sounds like something easier said than done, but it does work. I've done it myself. I wouldn't say that I am fearless, but I will do whatever necessary to come out a victor."
Of course more could have been said, but she couldn't possibly explain her situation. Fenrir was her father and he would have never accepted failure from his little whelp. Failure was forbidden and if he had thought her possible of that it was hard to say if breath would still be in her lungs now. That was a thought that Bryn refused to dwell on.
