Asher was walking the halls on a lovely Saturday afternoon looking for a place where he could maybe sit and write. The library was great, but he wanted a more secluded place at the moment. He found a door and decided to look inside. Turning the nob and poking his head in real quick, he saw that it was a spare classroom that, judging by the cob webs and the damp smell, hadn't been used in years.
A broad grin broke across Asher's face as he slipped inside leaving the door ajar. He was too distracted with the wonderful discovery he'd just made. Every dusty desk or cob web just seemed extremely beautiful and magically to Asher. To anyone else it was a waste of time and a health hazard, but to Asher this was the ultimate hideaway and setting for a story he'd write. The thing was, though, he was actually there in it. It was real.
With his mind wondering through all the possibilities of what he could do, Asher was lost in his own world and mind. He only did this when he was either really into a story or if he zoned out for a long time. World War III could be going on and he wouldn't notice a thing unless someone touched him.
Asher walked over to a desk and took off his backpack, removing a quill and some parchment. With his back to the door that was wide open and mind lost in his own world, he began to write furiously across the page. It was like he needed to get every thought and detail in his mind down or he'd explode.

Another day at Hogwarts, some things just didn't change. The full moon was past and Bryn smiled with the knowledge that she could act like a normal girl for a few weeks before she had to hide. It was as close to pleasant as she could get not being a home. She didn't quite miss her aunt yet but the forests around her house her heart yearned for.
A slightly scratching noise reached her ears. Most wouldn't have heard it so soon, but Bryn's senses were heightened a small blessing from her father's curse. She would tilt her head, trying to figure out the noise. It sounded like a quill to parchment, and her curiosity got the better of her.
She was wearing a pair of emerald kitten heels that she had made someone charm for her. They were silent as she walked through the hall. White socks came to her knees, and a few inches up her legs her black pleated skirt was visible. A white button down shit was worn, with the long sleeves rolled up to her elbows, and her slitherin tie completed the ensemble. She looked like a normal school girl with her brown hair tied low into pigtails.
She reached the open door hazel eyes bright as she peered inside. It was a boy but his back was to her. A sly smile crossed her lips as Bryn strode forward. She leaned towards him, her hand settling on his shoulder.
"You should be more careful. I could've hexed you into the next century."

Asher scribbled furiously on the parchment only stopping to get more ink. He was reaching the climax of his story and seeing every detail of the thrilling action. Then all of a sudden he felt something on his shoulder. A hand. All the detail and scenery of his story whooshed away as he was sucked back into reality.
Asher inhaled a deep breath, surprised anyone was even near this place. Don't do that! he said aggravated, but as he turned around his eyes rested on a girl. Asher got his infamous crooked grin on his face. She was wearing her uniform and her hair in pigtails. As he looked her up and down he noticed she was a Slytherin. Then he wondered what a Slytherin was doing talking to him, a Hufflepuff, "the lowest of the low".
H-hi. I'm Asher. He looked over at the wide open door and chuckled, running a hand through his curly hair. Yeah I guess it was kind of stupid of me to leave the door open like that. His eyes searched hers looking to see if it was a trick. He couldn't go through that again. There was nothing he could see that indicated she was faking her kindness.

Bryn stiffled a snigger as she watched the boy before her jump and get a little testy. She shook her head gently before propping herself against a slightly dusty desk. Hopefully she would be able to manage a cleaning charm on her skirt so she didn't look like a ragg-a-muffin when she left. Her voice held a trace of humor along with her normal attitude. No one expected a slytherin to be prefectly nice did they?
"Of course it was stupid to leave the door open. To many would have had problems with the temptiation of hexing you in the back. Luckily for you I felt like being charitable. I'm Bryn."
She bobbed her head gently her hazel eyes bright. It would be a long time before she would tell anyone of her father. Though her last name was a dead give away. Once anyone heard the name Greyback they knew Fenrir was tied in somehow. Thankfully most didn't guess him as her father.

Asher furrowed his brow caught off guard by the sudden attitude. He blew it off though expecting nothing less from a Slytherin. Yeah yeah. Whatever. I was just a little distracted. By... he trailed off looking around the room again and smiling to himself. Then he looked at his parchment. It was almost full of his work and at the time it had only seemed to be a few lines.
Well Bryn what's a girl like surveys her and her attitude you doing around this old spare classroom. Asher looked around the abandoned room and moved toward Bryn. Be careful you might damage your outfit. he raised an eyebrow as he ran a finger over the dusty surface of the desk.
He shook his head and walked back toward his parchment. As he started to put away his quill and ink, Asher wondered why he'd never seen Bryn before. He knew almost everyone around his age or at least heard of them. His face became thoughtful as he tried to think of something anyone had said about her. In his distracted state, Asher accidentally spilled his ink all over the desk and on his story. Shit!

Bryn would offer a smirk as the boy asked her about her wanderings. Her eyes shone with mischief as she spoke.
"I suppose I could ask you the same thing Asher. But in any case, I was bored and you never know what you will find wandering about this place."
Gently she would dismiss his concern for her clothing. Charms may be her weak point but she had studied hard when it came to cleaning her clothing and it was rare that it didn't work. Bryn had to try hard to stifle a laugh, but thankfully she succeeded. It would have be horribly rude of her to laugh in his face. Her voice was gentler when she spoke.
"I hope you know a cleaning charm, because if I try one I'll most likely blow up that bit of parchment...."

Asher quickly pulled out his wand muttering a spell he'd memorized because if his clumsy self. The ink floated of the page, leaving it as it was, and he released it back in the bottle, quickly putting the cap on it. He sighed with relief and quickly scanned his story. It was pretty good. He then packed away the rest of his things and put his backpack aside.
Well I don't usually find girls just wandering the halls. You know unless their drunk. Asher furrowed his brow and chuckled. That does seem to happen alot to me. Especially with Nikki and Raegan. He thought back to the times he'd found Nikki somewhere past out or Raegan sleeping in the hall a bottle of Firewhiskey almost empty. Don't laugh at my clumsiness. He said kiddingly and smiling at her.

Bryn shook her head, sure drinking was fun, but even at her tender age she was able to behave and hold her whiskey. She smirked as the ink went back into it's bottle and Asher being smarter than before quickly capped it to avoid another accident.
"Drunk in the halls eh? Not to smart are they?"
Sure Bryn wandered a lot but that was her business and it was necessary at that. She knew plenty of hidden places in this castle, and was always learning more. If she didn't want to be seen she usually wasn't. At his last comment Bryn couldn't hold back a small laugh, her white teeth flashing.
"I wasn't going to laugh, but then you said something and frankly I couldn't help it...."

Asher nodded in agreement at her comment about being drunk in the hallways. He'd never really got why Raegan and Nikki drank. Sure it makes the pain go away for a little while but then you just feel worse. He himself dealt with a bout of depression when we he was 11 and 12. His guilt over what he had done always stayed with him.
Asher would usually keep himself busy and with friends to help him forget and not think about it. When he went to bed, though, and it was quiet and he was all alone nothing could stop the memories from coming back. He would usually end up putting a sleeping charm on himself so he would fall into a dreamless sleep. But no one knew this. No one even knew Asher had ever gone anything wrong. It was just recently that he'd been getting bad thoughts of "it couldn't be that bad. Maybe I'll take a sip" or "just to see what it's like".
Asher's face remained in it's usual content look as he thought of all these troubling things. He listened to Bryn talk and smirked saying Well what did I say that was so amusing? His eyes locked with hers trying to see what they were hiding. He could just tell that she wasn't being truthful or telling him everything there was to her. This wasn't expected from a Slytherin he knew that, but it killed him to not know everything. He'd wait patiently though to figure out what was different about Bryn. He'd try to earn her trust and get her to confide in him. He was a true Hufflepuff though and would never share with another human being the things she'd tell him. And he knew there was something she had to tell.

Hazel eyes watched the boy before her, bright with humor. Bryn would settle herself more comfortably upon the desk, forgetting about the dust for a moment. Drawing in a breath she could smell the age of the room. Layers of dust and dirt showing this classroom probably hadn't been used since tom riddle's time.
"It wasn't really what you said that made me laugh. You telling me not to laugh at you spilling your ink is what did me in. I wasn't going to but as soon as you said something I couldn't seem to contain myself...."
Bryn would watch his face wondering what exactly he would say. Another slight smile would cross her face, though she knew it would hardly be noticeable. She was actually being about as kind as you got with Bryn to a hufflepuff. This was probably going to be an interesting day. [/blockquote]

Asher looked at the girl think with a twinkle in his eye and sly grin on his face. So basically when your told not to do something you do it? What if I told you to laugh at me? Would you not laugh? He thought about it for a minute and tried to sum it up into one word. Stubborn. He shoot his head chuckling to himself.
Asher knew that it was just like a Slytherin to be stubborn. He also knew that Bryn probabaly wouldn't take being called stubborn well. He didn't mean it in any disrespect. He just liked to categorize people into different attitudes or personalities, so that when he decided to hang out with them an other people he'd know how to act and who invite or not
You know, Bryn, you're quite a mystery. Asher said in a bit of a far off voice as he looked at her sideways. I like that. Keeps me guessing and wondering. It's like one of my stories. He knew the minute he said it that it was a mistake. Why'd he mention his stories? Now she'd wonder what he was talking about and he'd have to explain how he wrote and made up stories. Bryn would think he's weird probably never speak to him again. She'd be his first Slytherin friend, besides Will. It was one of the things on his list that he made.
Every year, before school started, Asher would make a list of things he'd wanted to get accomplished before the end of the school year. His mom had suggested it when he had started Hogwarts to help him get focused. Asher knew now that he'd have to try to find another Slytherin unless by some small percentage that Bryn didn't mind his writing, but he doubted that.

Bryn shook her head, reverse psychology wouldn't work with her, and she made sure that her movement was firm to convey that exact point. Once he called her a mystery the small smile spread showing even white teeth. It was rather flattering but the boy before her truly had no idea.
"Asher you truly have no idea on how mysterious I can be, and to be frank i doubt that you ever will..."
Once he mentioned his stories however Bryn's face turned quizzical. This was something she doubted that he had wanted to mention but it had piqued her interest slightly.
"Stories? What kind of stories?"
Her voice wasn't as sweet as it could be but it didn't hold any tones of mocking or cruelty. Maybe a bit of firmness to try to ensure him telling her, but nothing that should scare him so much that his voice box would lock. [/blockquote]

Asher smiled as Bryn said he'd never figure her out. It was now his goal to do just that whether she was his friend or not. He'd find some way to get her to talk to him. Everyone needed to talk about things. Even little things. Asher had always been that person who would listen to very complaint or story or feeling that anyone had. He didn't know why people came to him for advice or to talk they just did. He didn't see what they saw that made them trust him so much.
Well, now you'd be surprised at how...persuasive I can be Ms. Bryn. Asher smirked as his tone entered a somewhat darker place than its usual upbeat tone. As she started to ask about his stories, though all traces of the more suave and older Asher were gone. His voice stammered and he ran his fingers through his curly hair messing it up further.
Oh, i-it's really nothing. J-just some little stories I make up and write. his eyes looked everywhere but at her while he talk but when he finished he took a sideways glance at her to see what her reaction was.

Bryn flashed a grin at the boy before her. Her gaze quickly turning slightly sultry as she moved an errant hair from her face. Her hazel eyes were leaning more towards amber, like the eyes of a wolf. Bryn figured this was the case an smiled in spite of the irony.
"Be as persuasive as you like Mr. Asher, but these lips of mine shall reveal nothing."
With that she would offer a wink before he continued on to explain his stories. Her smile widened as he went back to the stammering youth he had been only moments before. It was actually slightly endearing. Bryn would move forward from the desk, smoothing her skirt and brushing the dust off the back. Her hand reaching for the parchment on the other desk. Her eyes held a look of question, though she planned to read it anyway, it was pointless to be to cruel from the start.
"May I?"

Asher smiled as Bryn said she'd reveal nothing. Her eyes were an amazing almost golden color. They were so intriguing and different he stared into them for a minute then snapped back. At the mention of her lips Asher's eyes traced over them. She was a very enticing girl. The way she look at him with those eyes and...did she just wink at him? He couldn't be sure. He watched as she reached for his story.
Asher knew there was no hope now so he just shrugged Sure why not? This particular story was about a girl who had fallen into her daydream. She was really there. Her name was Skylar and she had always daydreamed about a big old castle where she would have wonderful adventures. Now that she was there though she was quite afraid and had to find the lost sword of Lord Gregory, the original owner of the house. The sword had been lost for years and the greatest explorers and detectives all tried searching but never had any clue as to where it was. The story wasn't finished though. It stopped just as Skylar was about to find a secret drawer discovering the first clue.
Asher watched as Bryn read. The silence and anxiety was almost unbearable. He watched quietly for a few minutes then spoke his voice sounding not scared or worried like he felt. It's not nearly done yet. I still have to write the rest of it.
